Why we're going pink in 2022

Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club to support Prevent Breast Cancer

Some of you may have spotted the Prevent Breast Cancer logo on the back of all our new kit and wondered what it was all about?

We have partnered with Prevent Breast Cancer who are the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer. Unlike many cancer charities, they focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, they believe they can stop the problem before it starts. Being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, The Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital they are right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.

What's the connection with Bredbury St Marks? Well one of our members and our newly appointed bar manager Gemma has a personal connection and a story to tell that you can read here
