Welcome to the official website of Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club!

Bredbury St.Marks Cricket Club was formed in 1913 and played at Hillside Road, Woodley, a small village on the outskirts of Stockport. The club has grown over the years so that there are currently 6 senior teams (including an over 40s and Casuals team), 7 junior teams from under 9's to under 19's and Girls teams. The club currently play in the UK Fast Cheshire League, the Vivio Cheshire County League, and the Cheshire High Peak Junior League.

In 2023 we completed our move to our new state of the art ground at Dark Lane! The new facility will provide greater opportunities for the Bredbury and Woodley community at what will be one of the finest Cheshire grounds in the beautiful Goyt Valley.

2013 was our centenary year and the club was successful in winning both the Cheshire County League 2nd XI Championship and the Over 40s South East Championship with the 1st XI winning the Fair Play award.

We have a strong emphasis on junior development and our junior section is widely recognised as being one of the best in the area. Our philosophy is to provide opportunities for the development and enjoyment of playing cricket at all levels of ability, boys and girls. We have numerous qualified coaches who provide expert tuition for virtually 12 months of the year. Coaching for juniors takes place in the summer on Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm (U9 + U11) Friday evenings from 5.30 to 8.00 pm (from 6 to 15-year-olds). We also run two sessions for All-Stars (5 to 8 year olds) and Dynamos (8 to 11 year olds). Players 16 years and over will then graduate into the senior teams.

The club has England and Wales Cricket Board ClubMark accreditation and an ECB Focus Club.

New members and visitors will always be made to feel very welcome at the club.
