We are proud to announce that we has taken a significant step towards sustainability by planting 450 new trees at our new ground. This initiative is more than just planting trees; it's a commitment to creating a greener future and enhancing the natural beauty of our community.
The newly planted trees are expected to offset a substantial amount of CO2 over their lifetime. To put it into perspective, these 450 trees could absorb up to 11,250 kilograms of CO2 each year, contributing significantly to reducing our carbon footprint. This is equivalent to taking around 2.5 cars off the road annually, emphasizing our dedication to environmental responsibility.
This incredible work was carried out by our Silver Brigade, a group of dedicated volunteers who have been the backbone of our club's ongoing improvements. In addition to planting trees, they have taken on various other projects, including gardening, decorating the pavilion, general maintenance, and even helping construct the new shed and changing rooms. Their tireless efforts have transformed our club facilities.
Thank you to the Silver Brigade for their unwavering commitment and hard work. Their contributions not only enhance our club but also leave a lasting positive impact on the environment and our community.
